K2

In summer 2017, I traveled to northern Pakistan to attempt K2, the world’s second highest mountain, without supplemental oxygen. I joined a team led by Mingma Gyalje Sherpa and traveled up the iconic route up the Baltoro Glacier into the heart of the Karakoram. The mountain lived up to its reputation as one of the most difficult and dangerous in the world. I reached just halfway up the peak’s Abruzzi Spur.
